Honeyberry (Boreal Blizzard)

Boreal Blizzard is known for producing some of the largest honeyberries available, with impressive fruit size and a smooth, sweet flavor. Developed through the University of Saskatchewan breeding program, the Boreal series was specifically created to improve berry size, flavor, and fruit quality compared to earlier honeyberry varieties.

Boreal Blizzard produces exceptionally large deep blue berries that are noticeably bigger than most traditional honeyberry cultivars. The fruit has a pleasant sweet flavor with mild acidity and a firm texture that holds up well for fresh eating, freezing, and preserves.

This late-season variety is vigorous and highly productive once established. Its later ripening helps extend the honeyberry harvest season beyond earlier varieties, making it a valuable addition to mixed plantings.
