Berry Blue, also known as Czech #17, is one of the earliest and most widely grown honeyberry varieties. This vigorous and hardy plant produces elongated blue berries with a tangy-sweet flavor often compared to a mix of blueberry, raspberry, and black currant. Because it ripens very early in the season, it is often one of the first fresh fruits harvested in the garden.

Berry Blue plants are known for their adaptability and reliable production. The berries are excellent for fresh eating when fully ripe and are also commonly used in jams, syrups, baking, and smoothies. Due to its early bloom time, Berry Blue is frequently used as a pollinator for many other honeyberry varieties.
