Hardy Red Kiwi is a unique and attractive hardy kiwi variety known for its small, smooth-skinned fruit that develops a beautiful reddish blush when ripe. Like other hardy kiwis, the fruit is grape-sized with edible skin, making it easy to harvest and enjoy fresh without peeling.
The berries have a sweet, tropical flavor similar to traditional kiwifruit but are often sweeter and more aromatic. Hardy Red is valued not only for its flavor but also for its ornamental appeal, as the red-tinted fruit adds visual interest to the vine during the harvest season.
This vigorous vine produces abundant fruit once established and makes an excellent addition to backyard orchards or edible landscapes.
